...The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a Flood 
Warning for the following rivers in New Jersey...

  Wanaque River At Wanaque Dam affecting Passaic County.



For the Wanaque River...including Wanaque Dam...Minor flooding is 
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most 
flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wanaque River at Wanaque Dam.

* WHEN...From this afternoon to Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 5.0 feet, Open adjacent land begins to flood. Waters 
  rise around Wilderness Island Park.
  At 6.0 feet, John E. Murrin Park begins to flood. Hershfield Park 
  floods. The athletic fields begin to take on water. Parking lots 
  and Hershfield Park Place floods. Carlough Field floods.
  At 7.0 feet, Back Beach Park in Wanaque begins to flood. The light 
  industrial area off of Lakeside Avenue in Pompton Lakes floods. 
  VFW Way in Pompton Lakes begins to flood. Backyards flood on 
  Henderson Court and Hill Court in Pompton Lakes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 6:10 AM EST Saturday the stage was 5.4 feet and rising.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    this afternoon to a crest of 6.9 feet tomorrow morning. It
    will then fall below flood stage early Monday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 6.0 feet.
