5 to 6 feet expected in the surf zone. For the High Rip Current
Risk, dangerous rip currents expected.

to midnight EDT tonight. For the High Surf Advisory, from 8 AM
Thursday to 8 AM EDT Friday. For the High Rip Current Risk,

* IMPACTS...This could result in some roads becoming impassable.
Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach
erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away
from shore into deeper water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High tide will occur around 10:24 PM
today at Charleston. Saltwater inundation will be possible 1
to 2 hours before and after high tide.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
