Flood Warning for the following rivers in Minnesota...

  Cottonwood River Above Springfield affecting Brown County.

.The Cottonwood River at Springfield gage appears to have gone bad, 
thus the observed stage is being ignored. Heavy rainfall over the 
past week should cause the river to reach Minor flood stage over the 
weekend.

For the Cottonwood River...including Springfield, New Ulm...Minor 
flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
