A dust storm was moving into western Kansas this afternoon behind
a strong cold front.This front will sweep through Dodge City by 5
pm and Medicine Lodge by 7 pm. The high wind warning was expanded
and a dust storm warning may have to be expanded father southeast.
After the high winds and blowing dust subside this evening,
expect clearing skies and reducing winds, with lows in the teens
to lower 20s. With sunshine Saturday,temperatures ought to reach
into the lower 40s in the afternoon.

.LONG TERM...(Sunday through Friday)

A rather benign weather pattern is expected through Tuesday, along
with a slight warming trend as surface high pressure moves off to
the east. The next cold front is due by Monday evening, which
will knock temperatures back down into the 40s for highs by
Tuesday and Wednesday. An upper level trough will approach
Wednesday from the west, but this system looks fast moving so that
the best chance of precipitation will be to the east.
Precipitation chances are low for the next week.
