The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southern Nye County in south central Nevada...

* Until 345 PM PDT.

* At 1240 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the Amargosa Valley. Between 0.25 and 0.75 
  inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
  to begin shortly and will impact regional roadways including 
  highway 95 between Mercury and Beatty.

  HAZARD...Life-threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life-threatening flash flooding of low-water
           crossings, creeks, normally dry washes and roads.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Amargosa Valley and Lathrop Wells.

AFTERNOON FOR SOUTHERN NYE COUNTY...

At 214 PM PDT, Strong thunderstorms have begun to lift west of the 
Amargosa Valley. However, heavy rain earlier has led to elevated 
stream flows and areas of flooding. Continue to avoid flooded 
roadways and washes.

HAZARD...Life-threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.
