The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Inyo County in south central California...
  Southeastern Nye County in south central Nevada...

* Until 330 PM PDT.

* At 1229 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain in southern portions of Death Valley. Between 0.25 and 
  0.75 inches of rain have fallen. Portions of Badwater Road and 
  also highway 127 are likely to see flood impacts and may become 
  impassable. Additional roadway impacts are likely as storms 
  develop northward towards Death Valley Junction.

  HAZARD...Life-threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life-threatening flash flooding of low-water
           crossings, creeks, normally dry washes and roads.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

AFTERNOON FOR SOUTHEASTERN INYO AND SOUTHEASTERN NYE COUNTIES...

At 142 PM PDT, Heaviest rainfall has lifted north into the Death 
Valley region. Roadway flooding has been reported on Highway 127 
south of Shoshone. Flooding remains possible for another hour or so 
as water gradually recedes.

HAZARD...Life-threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Life-threatening flash flooding of low-water crossings,
         creeks, normally dry washes and roads.
