The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  The Bear Burnscar in...
  Northwestern Carbon County in central Utah...

* Until 445 PM MDT.

* At 227 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain over the Bear Burnscar. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of 
  rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly.

Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will result in debris flow 
moving through the Bear burn scar, with debris flows expected in 
Crandall and Bear Canyons, impacting US 6 between mm 226 and 230 
near Castle Gate. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, 
vegetation and other loose materials. Additionally, muddy flows are 
also expected to impact the Price Water Treatment Plant located on 
the Price River.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding in and around the Bear
           Burnscar.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE BEAR BURNSCAR REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 
445 PM MDT THIS AFTERNOON FOR NORTHWESTERN CARBON COUNTY...

At 405 PM MDT, Doppler radar estimates of .75" and 1.25" of rainfall 
fell from earlier thunderstorms over the Bear Burnscar. Flash 
flooding and debris flows are ongoing within the burnscar or 
expected to begin shortly.

Excessive rainfall over the burnscar will result in debris flow 
moving through the Bear Burnscar, with debris flows expected in 
Crandall and Bear Canyons. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, 
vegetation and other loose materials.
