* At 213 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.75 and 1.25 inches of
rain have fallen, with up to 2.5 inches in the upper headwater
areas of local washes. Flash flooding of normally dry washes is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.

SOUTHWESTERN GARFIELD AND NORTH CENTRAL KANE COUNTIES...
The flood wave which earlier moved through the tropic area has moved
downstream and flood waters will continue to recede. The heavy rain
has ended, and only light to brief periods of moderate rain is
expected periodically into the evening. Flooding is no longer
expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed remaining road
closures.
A Flood Watch remains in effect until 1200 AM MDT Friday for
portions of southern Utah and southwest Utah.
