The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northwestern Douglas County in southwestern Missouri...
* Until 1115 PM CDT Saturday.
* At 424 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
have fallen in the Cowskin Creek and Beaver Creek basins.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the
warned area. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly at low
water crossings along Cowskin Creek and Beaver Creek, including
Cowskin Creek at Highway Y and Beaver Creek at County Road 524.
Some urban flash flooding could also occur in Ava.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

EVENING FOR NORTHWESTERN DOUGLAS COUNTY...
At 924 PM CDT, The Department of Highways reported flooding ongoing
across the Beaver Creek, Cowskin Creek, and Prairie Creek basins.
Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is
already occurring. No additional rain is expected tonight, however,
residual flooding will continue.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
