North Central Howell County in south central Missouri...
* Until 1115 PM CDT.
* At 754 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible
in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

EVENING FOR NORTH CENTRAL HOWELL COUNTY...
At 939 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated that the thunderstorms that
produced heavy rain across the warned area have ended. Between 1 and
4 inches of rain fall across the area. Even though the heavy rain
has ended run off from the early heavy rainfall will continue
through late this evening. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to
begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
