TO 10 PM PST TUESDAY ABOVE 3500 FEET...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected above 3500 feet. Total snow 
  accumulations of 8 to 18 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 
  mph.

* WHERE...The Olympics and Cascade mountains, including Hurricane
  Ridge, the Mount Baker Ski Area, Stevens Pass, the Crystal
  Mountain Ski Area and Paradise on Mount Rainier.

* WHEN...From 10 PM this evening to 10 PM PST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on difficult travel conditions with poor 
  visibility and winter driving conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in

EVENING ABOVE 3500 FEET...

* WHAT...Periods of heavy snow will fall in the mountains through
  this evening. Total snow accumulation of 8 to 16 inches is
  expected. Windy conditions will make for poor visibility at
  times. There was a lull in the snow showers in the Cascades this
  morning--but heavy snow showers will push back into the Cascades
  later this afternoon and evening.

* WHERE...The Olympics and Cascade mountains, including 
  Hurricane Ridge, the Mount Baker Ski Area, Stevens Pass, the 
  Crystal Mountain Ski Area and Paradise on Mount Rainier.

* WHEN...Until 10 PM PST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Plan on difficult travel conditions--mainly for the 
  higher passes.
