* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Rockingham County in north central North Carolina...

* Until 400 PM EDT.

* At 1256 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms increasing 
  in areal coverage and intensity across much of Rockingham county. 
  Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have already fallen in some parts 
  of the county, especially around Reidsville. Flash flooding is 
  already occurring according to public reports with some roads 
  under water.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Doppler radar.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
           drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Eden, Reidsville, Wentworth, Mayodan, Madison, Stoneville and 
  Mayfield.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Buffalo Creek, Buckhorn Branch, Benaja Creek, Carroll Creek,

At 138 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain continuing to track across Rockingham county as new activity 
spreads into the county from Stokes, Forsyth, and Guilford. Some 
locations in the county have received nearly 2 inches of rain during 
the past hour.
