* Flash Flood Warning for...
West Central Kanawha County in central West Virginia...
* Until 930 PM EDT.
* At 808 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain in and around Alum Creek. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of
rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly. Emergency management reported that Little Island
creek was out of its banks and Broundland Road was closed due to a
water rescue.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flooding waters in Alum Creek were
beginning to recede.
