...Showers and thunderstorms will impact portions of Alamance,
western Orange, southeastern Davidson, northwestern Montgomery,
Randolph, northeastern Stanly, Guilford and northwestern Chatham
Counties through 715 AM EDT...
At 615 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of showers and
thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles south of Graham to
10 miles northeast of Badin Lake. Movement was northeast at 10 mph.
Half inch to one inch of rain has already fallen across portions of
the western Piedmont. Another half inch to an inch is possible.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph, and heavy rain.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
