* At 10:15 AM EST Saturday the stage was 16.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow morning and continue rising to 21.7 feet early Wednesday
afternoon. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet, Water overflows the banks at the Arrington
Bridge Rd and upstream of the US-117 bridge. Ferry Bridge Rd
begins to flood.
* Impact...At 20.0 feet, Arrington Bridge Road and access roads
around Seymour Johnson Air Force Base flood.
* Impact...At 21.0 feet, Riverview Trailer Park homes and Stevens
Mill Road begin to flood.
* Impact...At 22.0 feet, Flooding begins on Seymour Johnson Air

* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 9.4 feet
this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday
afternoon.
* Impact...At 9.0 feet, farmlands and timberlands adjacent to the
river in Roanoke Rapids flood. Property on the farmlands may be
at risk from floodwaters.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 8.9
feet on 01/13/1992.
