The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northeastern Las Animas County in southeastern Colorado...

* Until 700 PM MDT.
    
* At 625 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 8 miles southeast of Thatcher, or 38 miles southwest of
  La Junta, and is nearly stationary.

  HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  northeastern Las Animas County.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest

was located 8 miles southeast of Thatcher, or 39 miles southwest of
La Junta, and is nearly stationary.
