Southwestern Baca County in southeastern Colorado...
Southeastern Las Animas County in southeastern Colorado...
* Until 430 PM MDT.
* At 357 PM MDT, a confirmed tornado was located 8 miles northwest of
Kenton, or 34 miles northwest of Boise City, moving southeast at 30
mph.
HAZARD...Damaging tornado and tennis ball size hail.
SOURCE...Weather spotters confirmed tornado.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
southwestern Baca and southeastern Las Animas Counties.
