EVENING FOR NORTHEASTERN CHAFFEE COUNTY...
At 716 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have
fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.75 to 1.5 inches in 1 hour.
Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Some campers
are being evacuated at Railroad Bridge Campground. From EM reports,
it is a single drainage that is flooding, but with this drainage
flooding, more drainages flooding is possible.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
