The National Weather Service in Paducah has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Jackson County in southern Illinois...
  Williamson County in southern Illinois...

* Until 800 PM CST.

* At 452 PM CST, broadcast media reported flash flooding of streets 
  in Marion, IL...with at least one car stalled in high water. 
  Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rounds of 
  heavy rain will move into the area over the next 1 to 2 hours, 
  which worsen the flooding situation.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Trained spotters.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
           drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Carbondale, Marion, Herrin, Murphysboro, Carterville, De Soto, 
  Crainville, Cambria, Energy, Pittsburg, Creal Springs, Lake Of 
  Egypt Area, Cedar Lake Area, Makanda, Stonefort, Williamson County 
  Regional Airport, Whiteash, Colp and Spillertown.
