* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southwestern Cass County in southeastern Nebraska...
  Southeastern Lancaster County in southeastern Nebraska...
  Western Otoe County in southeastern Nebraska...

* Until 930 PM CDT.

* At 534 PM CDT, trained weather spotters reported thunderstorms 
  producing extremely heavy rain between Bennet and Palmyra. Between 
  2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 
  1.5 to 3 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 
  inches or more are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is 
  already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Syracuse, Hickman, Bennet, Elmwood, Palmyra, Unadilla, Panama, 
  Avoca, Douglas, Eagle, Roca, Dunbar, Otoe, Alvo and Wagon Train 
  State Recreation Area.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM CDT THIS 
EVENING FOR SOUTHWESTERN CASS, SOUTHEASTERN LANCASTER AND WESTERN 
OTOE COUNTIES...

At 708 PM CDT, emergency management and trained spotters reported 
thunderstorms producing very heavy rain across the warned area. 
Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall 
amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash 
flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Emergency management reported flash flooding near
         highway 34 3 miles southwest of Elmwood, and also near
         Highway 2 northwest of Unadilla.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

The Flash Flood Warning for southwest Cass, much of Otoe, and 
southeast Lancaster counties has been replaced by a Flood Warning 
through 1230 AM Friday. Lingering flooding from earlier rains will 
affect areas near creeks and streams for a few hours before flood 
waters recede.
