SOUTHWESTERN ISANTI AND EAST CENTRAL SHERBURNE COUNTIES... At 1104 PM CDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near St. Francis, or 16 miles southwest of Cambridge, moving northwest at 15 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph and dime size hail are possible with this storm. Locations impacted include... Andover, Ramsey, Elk River, St. Francis, Oak Grove, Nowthen and Cedar. Accumulating small hail is occurring with this storm which may result in slick roads and difficult travel. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
