widespread flooding across the warned area due to early morning
thunderstorms. Redevelopment of additional storms is possible this
afternoon. Travel is discouraged across Tallahatchie County.
Between 6 and 10 inches of rain have fallen since midnight across
Tallahatchie County with slightly lower amounts in the surround
areas. Flash flooding is ongoing.

AFTERNOON FOR SOUTHEASTERN COAHOMA, SOUTHWESTERN PANOLA, QUITMAN,
TALLAHATCHIE AND WESTERN YALOBUSHA COUNTIES...
At 218 PM CDT, emergency management reported that widespread
flooding continues across the warned area. New flooding was observed
at the confluence of Tillatoba Creek and North Tillatoba Creek near
Charleston. Additional flooding was occurring downstream of several
small flood control levees throughout the county that have recently
been breached. Between 6 and 10 inches of rain fell overnight and
runoff will continue to pose a threat throughout the afternoon.
Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.

urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
