* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southern Hale County in northwestern Texas...
  Hockley County in northwestern Texas...
  Southeastern Lamb County in northwestern Texas...
  Lubbock County in northwestern Texas...

* Until 130 AM CDT.

* At 1133 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  extremely heavy rain across the warned area. 1.9 inches of rain 
  fell in Shallowater in 30 minutes.  The heavy rain was spreading 
  across the city of Lubbock. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Lubbock, Levelland, Littlefield, Slaton, Abernathy, Wolfforth, 
  Shallowater, Idalou, Petersburg, Anton, Ransom Canyon, Cotton

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 AM CDT EARLY THIS 
MORNING FOR SOUTHERN HALE, HOCKLEY, SOUTHEASTERN LAMB AND LUBBOCK 
COUNTIES...

At 1230 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
thunderstorms producing very heavy rain across the warned area. 
Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall 
amounts up to 1 inch or more is possible in parts of the warned 
area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Lubbock, Levelland, Littlefield, Slaton, Abernathy, Wolfforth, 
  Shallowater, Idalou, Petersburg, Anton, Ransom Canyon, Cotton 
  Center, Reese Center, Texas Tech University, Lubbock South Plains 
  Mall, Downtown Lubbock, Lubbock International Airport, Slide, 
  Woodrow and Spade.

Some of the heaviest rain so far has been near Levelland, 
Shallowater, northeast of Abernathy and across southern Lubbock 
County.

SOUTHEASTERN LAMB AND LUBBOCK COUNTIES...

Flood waters have receded. The heavy rain has ended. Flash flooding 
is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please continue to heed 
remaining road closures.

A Flood Watch remains in effect until 700 AM CDT Monday for Portions 
of northwest and the Panhandle of Texas.
