For the Tchefuncte River...including Folsom, U.S. Highway 190 Near 
Covington...Major flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

* At 7:30 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 10.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Heavy rainfall from Hurricane Ida will cause the river 
  to rise above flood stage late Monday morning to a crest near 25.0 
  feet Tuesday morning. This forecast may change based on the track 
  of Ida. Continue to monitor these forecasts for updates.
* Impact...At 26.0 feet, The entrance road to Camp Tchefuncte will 
  flood. The campgrounds will be inaccessible by auto and evacuation 
  of the campground area is advised. Homes between Tantella Ranch 
  Road and the river as well as homes on Trinchard Road and 
  Louisiana Highway 1077 will be threatened.

* Forecast...Heavy rainfall from Hurricane Ida will cause the river 
  to rise above flood stage Monday afternoon to a crest of 19.0 feet 
  early Tuesday morning. This forecast may change based on the track 
  of Ida. Continue to monitor these forecasts for updates.
* Impact...At 19.0 feet, Louisiana Highway 40 will overflow the west 
  bank by the bridge. Evacuation of the area around Spring Park and 
  Albert Thompson roads should be complete.

* Impact...At 18.0 feet, The river channel will expand to about one 
  half mile wide for several miles downstream from Montpelier.

  Evacuation is recommended for persons east of Louisiana Highway 43

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in 
Louisiana...

  Tchefuncte River Above U.S. Highway 190 Near Covington affecting 
  St. Tammany Parish.

For the Tchefuncte River...including Folsom, U.S. Highway 190 Near 
Covington...Minor flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

...The Flood Warning is now in effect until late tonight...

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Tchefuncte River Above U.S. Highway 190 Near Covington.
* Until late tonight.
* At 9:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 22.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending 
  at 9:30 AM CDT Thursday was 23.8 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late 
  this evening and continue falling to 14.6 feet Tuesday morning.
* Impact...At 22.0 feet, Tchefuncte River camp grounds will be under 
  a few inches of water. The Goodbee community is threatened with 
  flooding. Water will invade Camp Tchefuncte's parking lot. 
  Vehicles must be removed to higher ground.
