* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage just after 
  midnight tonight to 14.5 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will 
  then fall below flood stage late Tuesday morning to 4.3 feet.
* Impact...At 14.0 feet, At 14 feet homes on lower Fisherman Trail 
  will begin to flood and lower River Road will be impassable. 
  Driving on Loraine Road will be hazardous due to the high water.

  the Bogue Chitto River At Franklinton.
* Until late Tuesday night.
* At 11:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 15.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending 
  at 11:00 AM CDT Monday was 16.3 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage 
  tomorrow evening and continue falling to 5.5 feet Saturday morning.
* Impact...At 16.0 feet, Bogue Chitto Heights Subdivision will begin 
  to flood. Some homes will be damaged. Homes on the west bank north 
  of Louisiana Highway 10 will flood. It is recommended that sand 
  and gravel operations be stopped and equipment secured. Access 
  roads to recreational areas will flood.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 15.9 
  feet on 02/13/2013.

* At 10:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 17.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending 
  at 10:30 AM CDT Monday was 17.3 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.5 feet 
  early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage 
  early Friday afternoon.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet, Evacuation of trailers at Hidden Oaks must 
  be completed. Water covers the entrance to camp grounds. Secondary 
  roads and unimproved roads north of Robert will flood as 
  Chappepeela Creek backs up. Low places on Highway 22 south of 
  Robert will be under water.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.5 
  feet on 03/11/2011.

.SHORT TERM...
Deep southwesterly flow continues to bring very high levels of
moisture into the central Gulf region as PW values are remaining
at 2+ inches . A very slow moving cut-off low over Texas will
struggle to progress eastward again today due to its proximity to
an upper level ridge over the Great Lakes. The trough axis over
Texas will shift slightly eastward today bringing the biggest
concentration of lift and combined moisture from I-55 to the east.
This appears to be where the heaviest rainfall will be focused
today with areas from east of I-55 to the MS/LA border potentially
seeing 3 to 5 inches of rainfall through 9 PM tonight. Rainfall
amounts west of I-55 expected to be between 1 to 3 inches. Showers
and thunderstorms will develop over the inner coastal waters and
move inland through mid morning. Expect to see a higher convective
activity than yesterday as atmosphere will have more time to
recover from yesterday's widespread rain event. High temperatures
will once again be between 5 and 10 degrees below normal today due
to early day development of showers and storms as well as
overcast skies. However...temperatures could slip into the lower
and middle 80s in far western areas by late afternoon as shower
and thunderstorm activity begins to push off to the east. Somewhat
dryer weather expected on Monday as upper low weakens and Bermuda
high off the southeastern US coast begins to slowly build
westward on Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures will rebound close
to average for the start of the work week. However...PW values
will still remain in the upper ones along with a continued west
side Bermuda ridge ring of fire pattern thus expect to see
widespread thunderstorms each afternoon and evening.

LONG TERM (Tuesday through Saturday)... Moist southernly flow and
daytime heating will come into play at some point Tuesday or
Wednesday, ushering in a more summerlike pattern. Rainfall rates
should see a substantial decrease from the previous days and can
expect a chance for afternoon showers and thunderstorms due to
diurnal heating both Thursday and Friday. As high pressure starts to
build across the region, any lingering showers and thunderstorms
will have dissipated by the weekend with drier weather expected for
Saturday.

Temperatures will remain in the 80s during the day with overnight
lows near 70 through at least Tuesday. They will then begin to
slowly creep back up into the upper 80s through the remainder of the
week as we start to dry out finally seeing a decrease in areal
coverage.

.AVIATION...
MVFR to IFR conditions will prevail through 00Z as showers and
thunderstorms will develop and move over terminals. Frequent
lightning and brief heavy rainfall from these storms may
temporarily drop vis/cigs into LIFR or VLIFR category. Conditions
expected to improve after 00Z and return to VFR overnight however
some patchy post precip radiation fog will be possible especially
over inland terminals.

MARINE... Onshore flow continues with elevated winds from gradient
through Sunday AM. Currently not anticipating a small craft
advisory so left a small craft exercise caution headline through
this morning at 12z. Winds may bump into the 10 to 15 knots range
through around mid week. After that, winds will become lighter,
but the southeasterly wind still remains for the rest of the
forecast period.

...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT CENTRAL PLAQUEMINES
PARISH...

At 956 AM CDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from 17 miles southwest of Port Sulphur to 9
miles south of Empire. Movement was northeast at 35 mph.

Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Buras, Empire and Buras-triumph.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
