Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana...Illinois...
Driftwood River near Edinburgh 2 SW affecting Bartholomew,
Johnson and Shelby Counties.
Big Blue River at Shelbyville affecting Shelby County.
Flatrock River near Columbus affecting Bartholomew County.
Parts of the East Fork White River, Wabash River and White River.
.Recent heavy rain over central Indiana along with additional heavy
rain this weekend will produce minor to moderate flooding along
portions of area rivers this weekend and into next week.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* From this evening to early Tuesday morning.
* At 9:30 AM EDT Friday the stage was 5.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this evening to a crest of 15.1 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It
will then fall below flood stage early Monday afternoon.
* Impact...At 14.9 feet, Extensive flooding along Driftwood River in
northern Bartholomew County on March 7 2011. Double Y Saddle
Club area extensively flooded. Water flowing over CR 950 N to
Club. CR 330W is flooded just south of its intersection with Ohio
Ridge Rd. CR 500N west of CR 250W is flooded blocking vehicular
access to residences near the river bank. Lowell Public Access
site is completely flooded. Water very near several residences
and seasonal homes along CR 330W and CR 325W.

* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
this evening to a crest of 15.7 feet tomorrow morning. It will
then fall below flood stage early Sunday morning.
* Impact...At 16.3 feet, Extensive flooding occurring along Big Blue
River. Several residences in Shelbyville had water in their yards
on March 6, 2011. One day later extensive flooding at mile marker
82.5 in the Edinburgh area. Several homes along Sugar Creek were
evacuated when the level peaked at nine ft on the New Palestine
gage one day earlier.

Generating Station begin to flood. Flooding of agricultural land
along U.S. 63 north of Terre Haute, west bank of river and in
southwest Vigo County occurs. County roads flood in southwest Vigo
County. The wetland projects between U.S. 40 and I-70 begin to

500N west of CR 250W is flooded blocking vehicular access to
