* Flash Flood Warning for...
Central New Hanover County in southeastern North Carolina...
* Until 315 PM EDT.
* At 1222 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the
warned area. Reports received of several roads impassable due to
flooding around Wilmington. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Central New Hanover County in southeastern North Carolina...
* Until 515 PM EDT.
* At 300 PM EDT, Plenty road closures in the area, and dangerous
flooding conditions due to water covering roadways and culverts.
Therefor the flash flood warning has been extended to 515 pm, as
water run-off continues to drain off, creating hazardous, rapid
water run-off in spots. Additional rain of another inch is
expected through late afternoon.

have recently reported that roadways are opening and clearing up.
