PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two 
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't 
drown.

* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.0 feet 
  this afternoon.
* Impact...At 15.0 feet, Flooding occurs for about 1 1/2 miles over 
  Dry Lake Corner on 1000 Street north of Highway 54.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Neosho River near Parsons.
* Until late Sunday morning.
* At 8:01 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 21.4 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will rise to 23.9 feet tomorrow evening. It 
  will then fall below flood stage late Saturday evening to 12.4 
  feet and below action stage of 19 feet early Sunday.
* Impact...At 23.0 feet, Flood waters spread over fields to a 
  distance of 1 and one fourth miles. Several county roads, mainly 
  along the left bank are inundated. Several residents which live 
  along the right bank in the vicinity of Highway 400 may experience 
  water entering their homes at basement levels.

* At 7:15 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 30.9 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 29.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 31.5 feet 
  tomorrow morning. It will then fall below flood stage early 
  Saturday morning.
* Impact...At 33.0 feet, The road 7 miles northwest of Erie at 190th 
  Road just west of Big Creek becomes flooded.

* Until early Saturday morning.
* At 7:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 25.7 feet and cresting.
* Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is cresting. It will then fall below flood 
  stage early tomorrow afternoon.
* Impact...At 25.5 feet, Flooding occurs along 800 Street from 
  Patrolia down to Chanute. Also 3/4 of a mile east of Chanute, Dump 
  Road floods.

  the Neosho River at Oswego.
* From late tonight to early Monday morning.
* At 6:40 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 14.5 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just 
  after midnight tonight to a crest of 20.9 feet early Saturday 
  morning. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday morning.
* Impact...At 21.0 feet, Xavier Road leading north from the river 
  gage bridge floods in that immediate vicinity. Also 13000 Road 
  along the north side of the river bank floods. West of the town of 
  Faulkner, homes along 120th Street between Star Road and Clem Road 
  begin to flood.
