For the WOOD RIVER...including Gibbon, Alda...Moderate flooding is 
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

* At 10:45 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 5.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage late this 
  afternoon or early evening, then to 11.5 feet just after midnight 
  tonight. It will remain steady near 11.5 feet through Tuesday 
  afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Wednesday 
  morning.
* Impact...At 10.0 feet, At a river stage of 10 feet, minor lowland 
  flooding occurs in pastures and farm lands.
* Impact...At 11.0 feet, The left bank overflows, and water floods 
  lowlands and country roads.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.5 
  feet on 06/28/1989.
