* At 236 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain over the Backbone Fire scar. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of 
  rain has fallen. The heaviest rain has fallen on the lower 
  portions of Fossil Creek near the confluence with the Verde River. 
  Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life-threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding in and around the Backbone
           Fire scar.

UNTIL 545 PM MST THIS AFTERNOON FOR GILA AND YAVAPAI COUNTIES...

At 349 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated light to moderate rain over 
the Backbone Fire scar. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. 
The heaviest rain has fallen along the lower portion of Fossil Creek 
near the Verde River. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
shortly.
