The Flood Warning continues for
  the Etowah River near Dawsonville.
* Until late tonight.
* At 5:00 PM EDT Friday the stage was 13.8 feet and slowly rising.
* Flood stage is 13 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Forecast...The river will rise to 14.1 feet just after midnight 
  tonight. It will then begin to fall and fall below flood stage 
  early Saturday morning.
* Impact...At 13.1 feet, Flood Stage is reached and minor flooding   
  begins in south Dawson county. Minor flooding continues on   
  Nicholson Road in northwest Forsyth county. The water will be   
  around one foot deep on the road.

* At 9:00 PM EDT Friday the stage was 14.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 13 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.6 feet 
  early Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood stage later 
  Saturday morning.
* Impact...At 14 feet, Moderate flooding begins in northwest Forsyth 
  county. Old Federal Road begins to flood and Nicholson Road is 
  closed off to residents. Minor flooding continues in south Dawson 
  county.

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Etowah River at Canton.
* Until Saturday morning.
* At 8:15 PM EDT Friday the stage was 16.5 feet and falling.
* Flood stage is 16 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late 
  tonight and continue falling to 4.9 feet Wednesday evening.
* Impact...At 16 feet, Flood Stage is reached. Minor flooding begins 
  in the woodlands and fields along the river upstream and 
  downstream from the gage by the Walaska Street bridge. Low lying 
  portions of recreational areas such as Boling Park behind the 
  Cherokee County High School...the Cherokee County Fairgrounds and 
  the Etowah River Greenway at Heritage Park will begin to flood.

* Until further notice.
* At 8:45 PM EDT Friday the stage was 20.4 feet and falling.
* Flood stage is 17 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Forecast...No forecast is available for this location.
* Impact...At 20 feet, Minor flooding continues to expand in the 
  woodlands and fields along the river generally east of Canton near 
  the Interstate 575 bridge. A rock landing and grassy lot behind a 
  pump station off of Riverstone Parkway and areas behind the 
  businesses on Old Ball Ground Highway and Keith Drive are flooded 
  with up to two feet of water.
