...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1215 AM EDT THURSDAY 
FOR WESTERN BARROW, SOUTHWESTERN FORSYTH, NORTHEASTERN FULTON, 
NORTHERN GWINNETT, SOUTHWESTERN HALL AND WEST CENTRAL JACKSON 
COUNTIES...

At 802 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that thunderstorms produced 
heavy rain across the warned area earlier. Although the persistent 
heavy rain has ended, between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen 
over the area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Lawrenceville, Winder, Cumming, Sandy Springs, Roswell, Johns 
  Creek, Alpharetta, Milton, Duluth, Sugar Hill, Suwanee, Buford, 
  Braselton, Auburn, Dacula, Berkeley Lake, Hoschton, Bethlehem, 
  Carl and Rest Haven.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become 
unstable and unsafe.
