  Blackwater River at Valley City affecting Johnson MO and Pettis 
  Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late 
  this afternoon to a crest of 19.0 feet this evening. It will then 
  fall below flood stage this evening.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet, Low-lying areas adjacent to the river begin 
  to flood.

* Until early Saturday morning.
* At 1:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 20.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late 
  this afternoon to a crest of 25.9 feet just after midnight 
  tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday morning.
* Impact...At 22.0 feet, Woodlands and farm fields along the river 
  begin to flood.
* Impact...At 25.0 feet, County Highway E near Valley City and 
  Highway 23 near the Perry State Wildlife Area are under water.
