  Patricio Counties.

For the Nueces River...including Cotulla, Tilden, Three Rivers, 
Mathis, Bluntzer, Calallen...Major flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

* From this morning until further notice.
* At 7:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 10.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late 
  this morning to a crest of 24.8 feet just after midnight tonight. 
  It should then fall below flood stage early Saturday morning.
* Impact...At 24.0 feet, Major lowland flooding occurs from near 
  Blutzer to Calallen. Widespread residential flooding occurs for 
  days or weeks. This includes homes in the following subdivisions, 
  Sandy Hallow, Los Dos Palomas, Los Escondido, and along Oak Lane 
  in Rio Encinos. Many secondary roads, primary roads, and low 
  bridges are flooded. The flow is out of the channel and into 
  prevailing left flood plain.
