  Central Newberry County in central South Carolina...

* Until 415 PM EDT.

* At 332 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Newberry
  College, or near Newberry, moving east at 50 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect 
           considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to 
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  Newberry, Prosperity, Newberry College, Newberry County Airport,
  Silverstreet, Chappells Fire Station, Newberry County Detention
  Center, US-176 and SC-
