...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT SOUTHEASTERN WAYNE...
CENTRAL LIVINGSTON...CAYUGA AND ONTARIO COUNTIES...
At 1029 PM EST, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Clyde to Conesus. Movement was east
at 35 mph.
Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with these
storms.
Locations impacted include...
Geneva, Canandaigua, Geneseo, Letchworth State Park, Newark, Lyons,
Palmyra, Mount Morris, Victor, Conesus, Bristol, Clifton Springs,
Clyde, Phelps, Weedsport, Bloomfield, Naples, Rushville, Cato and
Honeoye.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 390 between exits 6 and 8.
Interstate 90 between exits 43 and 40.
Heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may cause
localized flooding in poor drainage areas and also along creeks and
streams that are already swollen by melting snow. Do not drive your
vehicle through flooded roadways!
