...AN AREA OF HEAVY SNOW WILL AFFECT JEFFERSON...CENTRAL LEWIS AND
NORTHEASTERN OSWEGO COUNTIES...
At 937 AM EST, an area of heavy snow moving in from the east was
beginning to approach Philadelphia, Fort Drum and Adams. This area
of heavy snow will persist through late this morning, before slowly
diminishing.
Locations impacted include...
Watertown, Fort Drum, Carthage, Lowville, West Carthage, Clayton,
Adams, Dexter, Glen Park, Herrings, Kring Point State Park, Adams
Center, Wellesley Island State Park, Southwick Beach State Park,
Redwood, Barnes Corners, Denmark, Sackets Harbor, Henderson and Black
River.
This includes Interstate 81 between exits 37 and 51.
Snowfall rates of 1 to 1.5 inches per hour are likely as this band
of snow moves across. Visibilities will drop to less than a half of
a mile in this area of heavy snow.
