MADISON...NORTHEASTERN CORTLAND AND NORTHERN CHENANGO COUNTIES...
At 618 PM EST, a snow squall was located along a line extending from
Unadilla Forks to near Truxton. Movement was east-southeast at 35
mph.
Locations impacted include...
Norwich, Eaton, Hamilton, Brookfield, Worcester, Middlefield,
Hartwick, Cooperstown, Edmeston and Westville.
A burst of heavy snow and winds in excess of 30 mph will cause
visibilities to drop quickly to less than a quarter of a mile in
this squall.
Use extra caution if you must travel into or through this dangerous
snow squall. Rapid changes in visibility and potentially slick roads
as snow melts and then quickly refreezes will lead to accidents.
