* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Schuyler County in central New York...
  Northwestern Chemung County in central New York...

* Until 400 PM EDT.

* At 324 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Horseheads
  North, or 7 miles south of Odessa, moving east at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Big Flats, Horseheads, Elmira Heights, Erin, Catharine, Montour
  Falls, Odessa, Millport, Breesport and Wedgewood.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground
lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately.

NORTHWESTERN CHEMUNG COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...
                
The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.  However small hail and
gusty winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM EDT for
central New York.
