The National Weather Service in Gaylord has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Leelanau County in northern Michigan...

* Until 315 AM EDT.

* At 1208 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Radar rainfall estimates of 2 
  to 3 inches has already fallen since 700pm. Additional 
  thunderstorms over Lake Michigan are expected to move across the 
  warned area through 300am...which may bring locally an additional 
  1 to 2 inches of rain.  Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to 
  begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, streets and 
           underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.

This includes the following streams and drainages...Mann Creek... 
Hatlems Creek...Victoria Creek...Ennis Creek...Cedar Run...Lee 
Creek...Weisler Creek...Houdek Creek...Cedar Creek...Shetland Creek

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 AM EDT FOR
LEELANAU COUNTY...

Radar rainfall estimates indicate a wide area of 2 to 3 inches of 
rain have fallen across most of Leelanau County since early Tuesday 
evening.  Some flooding has been reported in parts of the county.

Additional rainfall amounts of one-quarter to one-half inch can be 
expected between 200am and 400am.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, roadways, streets and 
         underpasses as well as other drainage and low lying areas.

This includes the following streams and drainages...Belnap Creek... 
Houdek Creek...Victoria Creek...Cedar Creek...Ennis Creek...and

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
