The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Central Litchfield County in northern Connecticut...
  East central Dutchess County in east central New York...

* Until 315 PM EDT.
    
* At 247 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located over Kent, or 7 miles north of Sherman, moving
  northeast at 55 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  New Preston around 255 PM EDT.
  Litchfield around 305 PM EDT.
  Torrington and Northwest Harwinton around 310 PM EDT.

was located over Kent, or 10 miles north of New Milford, moving east
at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

This dangerous storm will be near...
  Litchfield around 320 PM EDT.
  Torrington and Northwest Harwinton around 330 PM EDT.
