The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  West central Schenectady County in east central New York...
  Northwestern Schoharie County in east central New York...
  Montgomery County in eastern New York...

* Until 130 PM EDT.

* At 1230 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Cherry
  Valley, or 10 miles southwest of Canajoharie, moving east at 35
  mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage 
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and has exited the warned area. Therefore, the warning will
be allowed to expire.  However heavy rain is still possible with 
this thunderstorm and a Flash Flood Warning is in effect for parts 
of the area.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
eastern and east central New York.
