* Until 745 PM EDT.

* At 444 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Around 
  1 inch of rain has fallen in Downtown Richmond. 2 to 3 inches of 
  rain have fallen near Route 228 from Midlothian to Interstate-95 
  in Chesterfield County. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 
  inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing 
  or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

EVENING FOR CENTRAL CHESTERFIELD COUNTY AND THE CITY OF RICHMOND...

At 503 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. 1 to 2 
inches of rain have fallen in Downtown Richmond. Reports of vehicles 
stranded in high water in high water.

2 To 3 inches of rain have fallen near Route 288 from Midlothian to 
Interstate-95 in Chesterfield County. Additional rainfall amounts of 
1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is 
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
