...BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM AKST THIS EVENING FOR
THOMPSON PASS...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions. Visibility as low as one quarter 
  mile or less at times. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 4 
  inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. 

* WHERE...Thompson Pass.

* WHEN...Until 11 PM AKST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing 
  snow could significantly reduce visibility. The cold wind 
  chills as low as 45 below zero could cause frostbite on 
  exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Moderate to heavy snow will continue
  through early this morning. Snow intensity will lighten up this
  afternoon for a period of time before the intensity increases
  again this evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions, making travel very hazardous. If you must travel,
have a winter survival kit with you.If you get stranded, stay
with your vehicle.

...BLIZZARD WARNING IS CANCELLED FOR THOMPSON PASS...

Snow has transitioned to a showery nature and heavy snowfall rates
supporting blizzard conditions are no longer expected. Additional
snow accumulations around an inch are possible for Thompson Pass 
through this evening, with northeasterly winds of 30 to 40 mph 
expected to continue through Wednesday evening before diminishing.
