centered 16 miles south of Fort Sumner, moving southwest at 40 mph.

FOR WEST CENTRAL ROOSEVELT...SOUTHEASTERN DE BACA AND NORTHEASTERN
CHAVES COUNTIES...
At 1030 PM MDT, a very strong gust front from thunderstorms
stretched from 21 miles southwest of Fort Sumner to 27 miles
southeast of Fort Sumner was racing southwestward into south central
De Baca County toward north central Chaves County.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
This very strong thunderstorm gust front will remain over mainly
rural areas of west central Roosevelt, southeastern De Baca and
northeastern Chaves Counties. Highway 20 will be impacted in extreme
southern De Baca and extreme northern Chaves Counties.

CENTRAL CHAVES COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 1115 PM MDT...
The very strong thunderstorm gust front which prompted the warning
has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate
threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed
to expire. However, gusty winds are still expected across northeast
Chaves County into east central Lincoln County through 12 AM MDT.
