The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  North Central Mora County in northeastern New Mexico...

* Until 545 PM MDT.

* At 239 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated slow moving thunderstorms 
  producing heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is 
  ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

Excessive rainfall over the Luna Wildfire Burn Scar will lead to 
abrupt and excessive runoff and possible debris flows. Runoff will 
impact creeks and streams feeding into the Mora River, and any 
debris flows can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose 
materials.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Chacon, Coyote Creek State Park, Holman, Cleveland and Guadalupita.

This includes the following recreation areas...
	Harold Brock Access Point and Coyote Creek State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

AFTERNOON FOR NORTH CENTRAL MORA COUNTY...

At 448 PM MDT, While rainfall has ended over the warning area, 
runoff from the Luna Wildfire Burn Scar and fast flows in creeks and 
streams feeding into the Mora river will still be possible. Stay 
away from low lying drainage areas and avoid creeks and streams 
within the warning area.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.
