The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Christian County in southwestern Missouri...
  Northwestern Taney County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until 1000 AM CDT Tuesday.

* At 100 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have 
  already fallen within the Bull Creek Basin. Flash flooding is 
  ongoing or expected to begin shortly along Bull Creek. Bull Creek 
  at Bull Creek Village will experience some flashy rises through 
  the night. 

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, 
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other 
           drainage and low lying areas.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1000 AM CDT
TUESDAY FOR SOUTHEASTERN CHRISTIAN AND NORTHWESTERN TANEY COUNTIES...

At 643 AM CDT, gauge reports indicated that Bull Creek had rose 
quickly through the early morning hours, and was likely flooding low 
lying areas near it's channel. Up to three inches of rain fell 
overnight across the Bull Creek Basin, and flash flooding was 
already occurring. The rain has ended, and the creek is expected to 
recede later this morning. 

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.
