  Southeastern Davidson County in central North Carolina...
  Northwestern Montgomery County in central North Carolina...
  Southwestern Randolph County in central North Carolina...
  Northeastern Stanly County in central North Carolina...

* Until 1230 PM EST.

* At 1153 AM EST, a confirmed tornado was reported near Kannapolis 
  with this storm. The storm is currently located near Rockwell, or 
  12 miles southeast of Salisbury, moving east at 55 mph.

  HAZARD...Damaging tornado.

  SOURCE...Emergency Management confirmed tornado near Kannapolis.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* The tornado will be near...
  Badin Lake around 1210 PM EST.

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 PM EST FOR
SOUTHEASTERN DAVIDSON...NORTHWESTERN MONTGOMERY...SOUTHWESTERN
RANDOLPH AND NORTHEASTERN STANLY COUNTIES...
    
At 1210 PM EST, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Badin Lake, moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. This storm has a history of 
         producing a tornado. At 1144 AM, an emergency manager 
         reported a tornado near Kannapolis. 

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
southeastern Davidson, northwestern Montgomery, southwestern Randolph
and northeastern Stanly Counties, including the following
locations... Newsom, Pinehaven Marina, Eldorado, Fish Tales Marina
and Richfield.
