FROM THEIR VANTAGE POINT, THE TROOPER SAID IT WAS LIKELY NORTH CHERAW NEAR CROWLEY COUNTY. TROOPER SAID HE LOGGED THE EVENT AT 8:35 PM. LOC

At 818 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado 
was located 2 miles northeast of Cheraw, or 17 miles north of North 
La Junta, moving northeast at 35 mph.  

HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...La Junta Fire Department reported a funnel cloud 2 miles 
         east of Cheraw at 817 PM.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

This dangerous storm will be near...
  Arlington and Blue Lake around 835 PM MDT.
