  boat launch and landing area and may inundate the ground floor of homes in the
  area. Access may be limited due to flooded roads.
* At 375.0 feet...In Decatur County, water floods the boat launch and low lying 
  portions of the access road to the Forest Crossing subdivision area at the Old
  Highway 114 ferry crossing to Clifton. In Hardin County, access to property in
  the Cobb Farm area along Senator Cobb Road and Colonel James Hardin Drive in 
  the Nance Bend area may be restricted due to flooded roads.
* At 374.0 feet...In Wayne County, Clifton Park at TVA Slough begins to flood, 
  and the Beech Lake Campground on Beech Lake Road is completely flooded. In

.DISCUSSION...

A consensus model blend solution continues to be used through
forecast period. However, even with good consensus blended model
solution agreement, some time frame model inconsistencies are
noted as it pertains to development and areal coverage of showers
and thunderstorms Friday into Saturday.

Northwesterly upper level flow aloft is still expected to
prevail as today progresses with weak surface ridging also
taking hold. A surface warm front may even move into western
portions of mid state region by Thursday afternoon, ushering in
an even warmer airmass, but no precipitation presently expected
to be associated with it. Eventually this warm front will push
northward into southern Ohio Valley Region by sunrise on Friday
morning. Even though some what of an unsettled surface weather
pattern is expected today through Thursday and even possibly
through Friday/Friday night, dry conditions are expected to
prevail. The reason behind this is that strong building upper
level ridging influences centered in the western Gulf of Mexico
will not only keep northwesterly upper level flow established
across mid state region but provide just enough subsidence for
dry conditions to prevail. The only exception will be potential
of isolated showers across northern portions of mid state region
Friday into Friday night as a stationary front sets up across
southern portions of Ohio River Valley Region by Friday sunrise.

Consensus blend model runs now showing a more western development
of surface low associated with a broad surface frontal system
across eastern half of U.S. developing by sunrise on Saturday
morning. This surface low is now expected to develop across
central plains with a cold front draped south/southwestward
through mid to lower MS River Valley Region and into extreme
southern TX. The stationary front mentioned above on Friday
morning sunrise will develop warm frontal characteristics and
push slightly northward into northern portions of Ohio Valley
Region. Surface low is then expected to move quickly northeastward
to near Lake Huron, pushing a cold front across mid state region
that is expected to move so rapidly that it even may reach
locations east of the Appalachians by sunrise on Sunday morning.
As a result, this may delay numerous showers and isolated
thunderstorms from developing and spreading across mid state
region until mainly afternoon through early evening hours. It also
now looks like best chance for strong to severe thunderstorms
will be across western half of mid state region, mainly around and
west of the TN River Valley Region during the Saturday afternoon
hours.

Any lingering rainfall chances expected across Cumberland Plateau
Region still look like they will come to an end as next Sunday
morning progresses. Cooler and dry conditions are then expected
Sunday afternoon through Monday night. This the result of strong
surface high pressure influences building out of the Rockies into
mid state region. Looks like another rainmaker will move into mid
state region as Tuesday progresses as upper level troughing
approaches and a surface frontal system develops to our south.

As for temperatures, even with the frontal passage yesterday,
there will not be much change in afternoon high temperatures
today as compared to yesterday. Highs will be near seasonal
normal values in low to mid 60s. A warm air advection pattern
will once commence and with unseasonable warm temperatures
expected through Saturday. The highest highs of note during this
time period continue to be expected Friday afternoon. Consensus
model blend now showing highs across mid state will reach into the
low to even mid 80s! Warmest lows during period will continue to
be on Friday night when lows will be so unseasonably mild they
will be around seasonal normal high temperature values! Lows are
expected to be in mid 60s, lower 60s Cumberland Plateau Region. As
a surface frontal passage may be delayed somewhat, but is still
expected to occur across mid state region as Saturday progresses,
highs still look like they may fall back a few degrees, but still
be in the mid to upper 70S. A more pronounced cold air advection
pattern will become established across mid state region Sunday
into Monday. Highs will become closer to seasonal normal values in
mid 60s, lower 60s Cumberland Plateau Region with lows in the mid
40s, lower 40s Cumberland Plateau Region by Monday afternoon and
Monday night respectively. High temperatures will continue
lowering, expected in the upper 50s to lower 60s on Tuesday
afternoon as another rainmaker moves into mid state region.

Satellite trends are leaning toward keeping clouds around longer,
at least thru the morning and potentially into the early
